Alberto Sardiñas is the
Host and Producer of “Intimo”,
on Univision Radio’s Amor 107.5
(WAMR) in Miami, Monday thru Friday,
9 PM to 12 AM. He frequently appears
on Univision Network’s “Tu
Desayuno Alegre” and “Despierta
America” as a contributor in the
field of Motivation, in which he also
gives conferences around the country.
Alberto speaks to crowds about a variety
of topics from “Grade your relationship
from 1 to 100” to “How to
succeed in the career of your dreams”.
He also delivers business-related topics
such as “7 keys to influence with
your voice” – a program targeted
to sales professionals – and “Let
harmony surround you in your workplace.”
Alberto was born in Caracas, Venezuela, where he studied
Communications. While still in college, he was a radio DJ
on 92.9FM in Caracas (1996-2000). He was a Producer for music
television station Puma TV, working with artist and entrepreneur
José Luis Rodríguez “El Puma” (1996-1998).
Alberto arrived in the United States in December 2000 to
pursue his Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specialization
in Marketing at the University of Miami. He graduated in
December 2002.
In 2001 he started working as a Producer for a hit morning
comedy show. Then he joined a sister station as a full time
producer and on-air host. In 2003, Alberto also participated
as the voice of Telemundo Network’s “Frecuencia”,
the entertainment show produced by Emilio Estefan. Sardiñas
has also been the Miami correspondent for Latin American
cable station Sony Entertainment Television and has had the
opportunity to personally interview artists such as Celine
Dion, Shakira and Laura Pausini, among many others.

Helen Aguirre Ferré
Helen Aguirre Ferré is an award-winning, bi-lingual
journalist in both print and broadcast media. With
over two decades of reporting, she is the Opinion Page Editor
of Diario Las Américas, an independent, family-owned
Spanish-language newspaper founded in Miami in 1953. Her
commentary also extends to a Sunday column in Diario
Las Américas, covering current, national and
international affairs.
In the broadcast arena, Helen is the moderator of the weekly
WPBT public affairs series Issues, reaching audiences
from the Treasure Coast to the Florida Keys. Helen
also serves as host for many of WPBT’s public affairs
specials. She has extensive experience interviewing
both local leaders as well as heads of state, particularly
from Latin America, and some of the most important figures
in American politics.
“I confess that apart from my family, journalism is
my magnificent obsession,” says Ferré, who was
recognized by Hispanic Trends Magazine, El Nuevo Herald and
Miami Today newspapers for her professional accomplishments.
In addition, Helen has been a guest political analyst on
Telemundo and serves as moderator for many community panels
and local events, including the Downtown Bay Forum of Miami-Dade
County. She has also provided political analysis for
Radio and TV Marti.
Helen has a strong commitment to community service. She
is the first woman to chair the Board of Trustees of Miami
Dade College, the largest award-winning community college
in the country, and was recently named to the board of directors
of the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and
Colleges in the United States. She is president of
the Angels of Mercy of Mercy Hospital, a member of the Florida
Chapter of the International Women’s Forum, a member
of the Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade County, a national
member of the Council on Foreign Relations, an associate
member of the Inter American Dialogue, National Association
of Hispanic Journalists and is a Dame of the Knights of Malta.
Through all her professional and community engagements,
Helen has received many awards, including: the Chairman’s
Award of the South Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross
2007; Women’s History Coalition Women of Impact Award
2007; Award of Distinction American Nicaraguan Foundation
2006; Distinguished Woman Professional Cuban Woman’s
Club 2006; CAMACOL Woman Business Professional 2006; Distinguished
Alumni Archbishop Curley Notre Dame Academy 2005; Barry University
Outstanding Alumni of the Year Award 2000; Dynamic Woman’s
Award American Cancer Society; Professional of Hispanic Media
100; as well as awards from Goodwill Industries and the Cuban
Rotary Club.
She was also appointed to the Florida State Committee of
Higher Education Access Task Force in 2005 and the Florida
Energy 2020 Commission, among others.
Helen Aguirre Ferré holds a B.A. in Political Science
from Barry University and an M.A. in Inter American Studies
from the University of Miami, Florida.

Nancy Alvarez, Ph. D.
Psychologist, Sexologist, Professor, Family Therapist, Television
Producer and Writer; Nancy Alvarez is a doctor of Clinical Psychology
with a masters and PhD in Sexual and Couples Therapy, and Neurolinguistic
Programming. She is also a board member of the American Counsel of Sexology.
After many years of experience in the television industry
in her native country, Doctor Alvarez, or “Nancy” as
she prefers to be called, began to appear as a special guest
in Hispanic television programs in the United States, such
as “El Show De Pedro Sevcec” and “El
Show del Padre Alberto.” In addition to
this, she appeared three times a week in Radio Unica as the
offi cial sexologist of the Pedro Sevcec Radio Show. Due
to the overwhelming success of the show, she was then invited
by Don Francisco, host of the immensely popular television
show “Sabado Gigante” for frequent
appearances. After this, she appeared in many other important
programs on the Univision network such as “Despierta
America” and “Marta Susana.”
Nancy's success in the United States resulted in the
creation of her own television show: “Quien Tiene la Razon;” currently
in its fourth year on air on the Telefutura Network reaching the U.S., Puerto Rico
and a number of Latin American countries.
Nancy is also a regular columnist for
various newspapers and magazines in the United States and Latin America, such as New York's Diario La Prensa, El Nuevo Dia de Puerto Rico, Los Angeles' La Opinion,
Miami's El Nuevo Herald, and Chicago's La Raza, amongst others. A profound expert in matters of the human condition and of
those of which she has specialized; Nancy enjoys an internationally renowned
prestige and popular love, expressed in various testimonials from thousands
of people who have benefi ted from her advice and suggestions.
